As part of the week long celebration of the arts Newtown, Connecticut's inaugural Rooster Ball was held September 20, 2013 in the Music Tent on the grounds of The Newtown Arts Festival. A perfect night for dancing with temperatures in the 60's with the evening culminating with a beautiful harvest moon. Cocktails were followed by dinner catered by Walsh Catering of Danbury, CT. Music was provided by the Eugene Dobb's Nu Cullers Band which has performed as opening acts for Chaka Khan, Cameo, Wilson Pickett, Tower of Power, War, Billy Preston, Chuck Berry and Sister Sledge, among others. The Rooster Ball presented by and a fundraiser for the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission was led by Event Chair Terry Sagedy and his committee, and numerous volunteers. Thanks to all of you!
