Presented by the Chamber of Commerce of Newtown, and Newtown Parks and Recreation the second Newtown Day (Connecticut) was a huge success. The event was held on the beautiful grounds of Fairfield Hills with attendees enjoying the diversity of twenty three food trucks. For the adults there was a brew garden managed by Chilled 'N Distilled featuring beers from Newtown's Reverie Brewing Company.
Four bands: Sound Beacon; Long River Jam; Accidental Breakdown; and The Renegades played through out the day. The Musical Director of Newtown Day was Grant Ossendryver owner of Rock Elite Music Academy, and Master of Ceremonies was the silky voice of John Voket.
Thanks to those who worked diligently for several months organizing and bringing this wonderful event to Newtown.
