Catherine's 5th Butterfly Party held on the grounds of the Fairfield Hills Campus in Newtown, CT was a beautiful blue skies, low humidity, 85 degree kind of day. This event was hosted by the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary to celebrate Catherine Hubbard, who lost her life during the Sandy Hook Tragedy. The animal sanctuary located on 34 acres in Newtown, CT will be home to a state-of-the-art veterinary intake facility, a companion and farm animal refuge, wildlife rescue, butterfly garden, rehabilitation center, and education center for the public.

28 rescue groups participated in the Butterfly Party with 54 dogs, 8 cats, and a horse being adopted with more adoptions continuing post event!  A huge thank you to the rescues, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers. The event included The Asher House and 9 dogs who traveled to Newtown to be a part of Catherine's Party. 

Additionally the event consisted of exotic animal,  K-9, and Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory demonstrations, animal educators, personalities from Connoisseur Media's WEZN-FM Star 99.9, live music by La France Acoustic, pet related vendors, local artisans,, crafts, games, and of course  food trucks.
