The 2nd Co. Governors Horse Guard made the trip down to Stamford, and the horses exited the trailer like clockwork except for one. He needed to look around and up in all directions before deciding it was worth leaving the trailer.
You can feel the excitement in the air at this parade because the turnout is huge. The weather was cold, but not too windy for the balloons. The horses did beautifully considering Mr Potato Head needed to lean backwards toward them to clear the light stanchion. Also when exiting the parade and passing under the train trestle fortunately no trains were going overhead. These horses are amazingly well behaved considering all they are exposed to at a large parade. Plus, it's always so impressive watching how organized the Troopers are in preparing the horses and themselves for a parade, then doing the reverse at the end.
