September 18th, 2019 all three Connecticut Militia Groups joined the 2nd Co. Governor's Horse Guard participating in the Connecticut Day Parade at the Big E in Springfield, MA.

Accompanying Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, and the CT Adjutant General of the National Guard Francis J. Evon were the Commandants of the four Militia groups:

1st Company Governors Horse Guard, Avon, CT ~ Commandant Major Richard Zaczynski

2nd Company Governors Horse Guard, Newtown, CT ~ Commandant Major James Marrinan

1st Company Governors Foot Guard, Hartford, CT ~ Commandant Major Dave Dwelley

2nd Company Governors Foot Guard, Branford, CT ~ Commandant Major Richard Greenalch
